Northern Mark PGM's Annual Get Together

Each year the Northern Mark PGM's and their wives meet up for a weekend away.

The weekends take place in a different Province every year.

This year it was the turn of R.W. Bro. Denovan Wilson and his wife Dorothy

to make the arrangements, 8 PGM's and their wives met up in Durham

over the first weekend in September.

They visited Durham Cathedral and also the Bowes Museum and dined together

on the Friday and Saturday nights.

We, here in North Wales, organised the weekend some three years ago and we are already looking forward to next year's event which will be organised

by the Provincial Grand Master of East Lancs, R.W. Bro. Alex McLaren.

St Eilian RAM No. 360 Barbecue Party

On 27th August a very successful Social Event was held at the home of

W. Bro. Roger Littlewood, there were some 90 present and £1040 was raised to be divided equally between the Provincial Centenary and Special Fund and St Eilian Lodge

of Royal Ark Mariners.

Food, by way of BBQ, Paella, Salads and a variety of Desserts was provided, with the Paella being expertly cooked by our resident chef, W. Bro. Roger Littlewood.
There was a quiz, which the PGM once again failed miserably to even get close to winning,

he was however hindered by having Kelvin Sharp and Andy Chape in his team.

The PGM did however win a raffle prize, a Make Over and Skincare Consultation!!!

A fantastic event, enjoyed by all who attended, many congratulations to everyone involved, looking forward to next year already.'

On the 6th of May a group of Brethren from North Wales together with their wives and partners attended at 'The Mawddach Trail' in Dolgellau to complete a nine and a half mile Sponsored Walk from Dolgellau to Barmouth.

This walk was held to coincide with a similar walk undertaken in London by members of other Mark Provinces to support the Mark Benevolent Fund.

The walk in Barmouth proved to be an outstanding success with over 20 walkers and

some 60 people in attendance at the Min y Mor Hotel to welcome home the walkers which included the PGM and his Deputy.

national total breaking £400,000.

V.W. Bro. Edward Taylor Urwin

On Monday 6th March, 2017 a special ceremony took place before

the Flint Mark Installation meeting, to name the Temple room at the Armoury Flint, after

V.W. Bro. Edward Taylor Urwin.

This was in recognition of the service Bro. Urwin has given to the Masonic Hall, Flint.
From the very early years Eddie has been at the forefront of Masonic life in Flint

and has been instrumental in helping to move the building forward with changes in the accommodation and development of lodges within.
When Eddie was no longer able to contribute physically, his organisation

and funding of various projects continued.

The Directors and members of Flint Masonic Hall felt it appropriate to show their appreciation

in this manner to thank Eddie for his dedication and hard work over the years

and for making the building what it is today.

Newsflash

The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master is delighted to announce

'The North Wales Mark Master Masons Charity Walk 2017'

As many of you are aware there is to be a Mark Charity Walk

in London on Saturday 6th May.

In conjuction with this, the RW Provincial Grand Master has been given permission

to stage our own North Wales Charity Walk.

This will take place at the same time as the London Walk, which is

Saturday 6th May at 10.30am

and will be taking place using

'The Mawddach Trail' (The Railway Walk)

which runs from Dolgellau to Barmouth.

This 'very flat', hard paved route shows off the wonderful scenery of the area

and is suitable for all.

We have seven official walkers detailed on the Sponsorship form, who will be

accompanied by both the Provincial Grand Master and his Deputy,

but the day is open to all and we will be delighted to be accompanied by everyone,

young or old, big or small, Mason or not.

You can do the whole 9 mile trail, join us for just a little while or welcome us at the end in Barmouth with a refreshing drink.

All Sponsorship money raised will be going to

'The Mark Benevolent Fund'

Sponsorship Forms are in the website downloads section

and below is a link for the Mawddach Trail.

Let's make this a Wonderful Family Day.
